1. What’s the difference between a doula and a midwife?
Doulas provide non-clinical emotional, physical, and informational support. Midwives handle medical care like exams, monitoring, and delivering the baby.

2. Do you support home and hospital births?
Yes. I attend home and hospital births across Northwest Arkansas and Southwest Missouri.

3. What if I want an epidural or need a cesarean?
My role is to support your choices. Whether you want a natural birth or plan to use pain relief, I’ll help you feel confident and informed. Sometimes, too, things don’t go as planned. I will be your support person every step of the way, no matter where that takes us.

4. Do you take Medicaid or insurance?
Arkansas is in the process of launching doula coverage through Medicaid and some private insurers. I’ll announce when I can begin accepting those options.

5. When should I book with you?
The sooner the better — especially to allow time for prenatal sessions and building trust. Most families book in the second trimester, although you can do it even sooner.

6. What if you’re unavailable when I go into labor?
I work with a trusted backup doula who will be on call in case of emergency.

7. Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, I’m happy to split your investment into multiple payments and only require a portion of the payment when you hire me. Please do not hesitate to ask me about payment plans as I want my support to be accessible to families regardless of financial circumstance.

8. Will my partner feel replaced?
Not at all. My goal is to support both of you — offering reassurance, guidance, and rest so your partner can be present and confident too.

9. Can I hire you if I’ve already had a baby?
Absolutely. Many of my clients are second- or third-time moms seeking a more supported experience or a different kind of birth than before.
